The capital and largest city of Baden-Württemberg introduced an environmental zone on 01.03.2008, which covers the entire city area of Stuttgart. In 2019, the rules of the environmental zone were tightened so that only diesels with Euro 5 are allowed to enter and since July 2020, the zone has been extended to include diesel driving ban zones. On the 4 routes, there is a driving ban for diesel vehicles that do not comply with Euronorm 6.
