News on environmental zones and air pollution

Is the air quality getting better in Munich?

In the third quarter of this year, the limit allowed values for nitrogen oxide were observed at 16 of the 21 measuring stations, i.e. below 40 µg/m³. However, the centre, such as the Tegernseer Landstrasse (63 µg), Chiemgaustrasse (59 µg) and Frauenstrasse (53 µg) remain heavily contaminated. Instead of a blue badge, Munich would like to see driving bans for certain cars that emit more than 270 mg NO₂/km. But details are still unclear.
