Particulate matter: more deaths than expected

So far, deaths due to air pollution have been underestimated. This is the result of a study by scientists at Ottawa University. They measured the fine dust values in 16 different locations and according to their estimations for the year 2015, not 6.9 but 8.9 million people died because of poor air quality.
