100 km/h on the highway? But not in Germany
Teh german organization Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) welcomes the decision of the Netherlands to introduce a speed limit. In practice, it will only be driven up to 100km/h on motorways between 6 am and 7 pm. "A speed limit reduces the pollution with nitrogen dioxide and contributes to reducing the background pollution with pollutants in the air", says the DUH director. Unfortunately, Germany and other European countries are a long way from doing so.
