Environmental zone of Ulm

The city of Ulm decided to introduce an environmental zone in March 2008, which entered into force on the 01.01.2009.

This permanent environmental zone contains the part of the city or of the region delimited on the map. To visualize all the details of the limits for the environmental zone of Ulm and the possibilities to drive around it, please click on the interactive map.

The traffic restrictions related to the environmental zone apply since the introduction of the zone and allow vehicles equipped with the green environmental badge (EURO 4) to drive in the zone.

The temporary driving bans depend on many factors, such as the age of the vehicle, EURO standard, the first and possibly second fuel type and many more. Sometimes current air values and the general weather situation play a role in connection with holidays and trade fairs. Permanent driving bans are very complex and partly depend on the type of vehicle, the Euronorm whether an environmental sticker or registration is available and how many people are sitting in the car. To display this correctly, please use our Green-Zones App.
