The city of Hagen decided to introduce an environmental zone in October 2007, which entered into force on the 01.01.2012.

Von der Umweltzone ist die Innenstadt, Eckesey und Altenhagen bis zur Fuhrparkbrücke, der gesamte Bereich Ischeland, Loxbaum, das Hochschulviertel bis zur Feithstraße, weite Teile von Eppenhausen, Remberg, Oberhagen, Eilpe bis zur Selbecker Straße und Wehringhausen bis zur Rehstraße betroffen.
