Mobility in the countryside

When it comes to mobility, rural regions are often side-lined by politicians. However, 16 million people live in these areas with less than 150 inhabitants/km². The ADAC association has carried out a study to find out what their opinion is about their mobility. Without surprise, the car is the first means of transport there and people are happy with it - little traffic jams, enough parking, etc. However, there is clearly a high level of dissatisfaction with public transport: there is a lack of investment in regional trains or buses, when they could be a possible alternative to the car.
