News on environmental zones and air pollution
As soon as summer begins to pass, new emission standards usually come into force. September is traditionally regarded as the "deadline month". In addition to the EURO 6d-TEMP emissions standard, which has been in place for new registered cars since last year, the WLTP test cycle also applies.
The even stricter Euro 6d emissions standard will apply from the beginning of 2020. A car will then have to prove that it only emits 1.5 times as much nitrogen oxide on the road as on the test bench.
