Fine particles in the uterus

Researchers at Queen Mary University in London had the opportunity to examine the placenta of five new-borns. The mothers of the children are non-smokers but they live in areas with a lot of traffic. In each of the five placentas, the researchers found microparticles of soot that reached the child through the lungs and the mother's bloodstream. As a result, the influence of traffic and fine particles on the foetuses has been proven for the first time. A shocking report!
