News on environmental zones and air pollution

Air pollution is the new tobacco

The Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has shared his concern about air pollution in an interview. This health problem should be taken as seriously as tobacco was then. Billions of people breathe poor quality air every day and about 9 million people - according to the latest studies - die of it every year, which is more than because of tobacco. The WHO will hold a conference on this subject and the required action this week in Geneva.
