News on environmental zones and air pollution
Low emission zones and diesel driving bans are heating up German public opinion. In the twin cities of Wiesbaden and Mainz, the situation is particularly interesting and is currently reminiscent of a carnival meeting. The latter city on the western bank of the Rhine has activated a low emission zone. However, if you now want to drive from Wiesbaden on the other side of the Rhine over the bridge to Mainz, you will find yourself in a designated low emission zone, including a ban on driving diesel. Since there is no turning possibility on the bridge, a low emission zone must now be installed in Wiesbaden, much to the regret of the inhabitants.
