News on environmental zones and air pollution
The German Environmental Aid (DUH) has applied to the European Court of Justice (EuGH) for compulsory detention of CSU politicians from Bavaria. The air quality is indeed poor and the Free State of Bavaria prefers to pay a fine of 10,000 euros instead of introducing driving bans for diesel vehicles. In this context, the DUH would like the Bavarian state government of Prime Minister Markus Söder to react with a possible prison sentence. Tomorrow, the European judiciary will examine this problem.
